J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College (JSRCC) and John Tyler Community College (JTCC) are committed to providing the best workforce development services for the region in an effort to train the workforce of today and tomorrow.

In order to better accomplish this task, both colleges joined forces to create a workforce development organization that provides business, industry and government in the region with a single source for workforce development. The organization is called the Community College Workforce Alliance (CCWA).

Longwood University's College of Business & Economics in partnership with J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College, John Tyler Community College, and the Community College Workforce Alliance has a goal of becoming the outstanding, comprehensive educational Center for retailing education.

The Retail University Career Center has been developed to support the academic programs and the faculty through outreach and research while serving as a resource to the retail community. Our ultimate goal is to become a clearinghouse for research in the areas of retail technology and international retailing.

The mission of the Virginia Community College System is to provide comprehensive higher education and workforce training programs and services of superior quality that are financially and geographically accessible and that meet individual, business, and community needs of the Commonwealth.
